JOB DESCRIPTION

We’re seeking a mid-level Web Application QA tester to join our growing technology team. Reporting to the Director of Software Development, the Web Application QA Tester will be responsible for ensuring new features and application releases meet existing requirements & solution specifications, and identifying & testing for defects prior to release.

The Web Application QA tester will also be responsible for creating and executing testing plans for applications to streamline the testing process for future releases as well as assisting the operations team with the creation of an operations QA workflow.

To be successful, it is essential that the Web Application QA tester be a detail oriented and analytical individual.

Responsibilities

Play a direct role in all aspects of web product manual and automated testing, which will include the use of both black box and grey box testing mechanisms

Create, document and maintain test plans and test cases for both existing and new product features

Create detailed product bug reports including steps to reproduce and other relevant information to streamline the process of correcting defects

Work with stakeholders, developers, product managers, and customer representatives to isolate, clarify and document both functional and visual defects

Assist in the creation and implementation of a QA workflow for the production team

QUALIFICATIONS

Technical Skills:

  • 2-3 years experience in a software QA role
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Experience creating test plans and test cases for software
  • Familiarity with the web application stack
  • Experience testing across multiple browsers and platforms, including mobile & tablet devices
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript a plus
  • Programming experience with Python or a similar language a plus

Education:
