Propel Marketing is seeking an experienced Product leader to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for defining product strategy and leading large-scale efforts to build and refine products and applications that enhance Propel’s customer experience and our overall business. Reporting to the VP of Product, this position will be a significant contributor towards the company’s product roadmap by developing strong products, solutions and experiences, specifically focused on email marketing, video marketing and online presence solutions. This position will partner closely with internal and external teams and resources to bring great products to market. The ideal candidate should be motivated, passionate about customer-focused experiences, technology and marketing.
In this role, you will:
Translate vision and high-level concepts into fully-developed business and technology requirements for new products and services.
Fully manage new and existing products from idea phase through design, development, release and evaluation
Regularly communicate and interface directly with customers – both internal and external to understand their needs
Identify and analyze feedback and engagement data to solve customer problems, develop business cases, test concepts and solutions
Manage key performance metrics and analytics tracking product adoption, usage and overall success
Help refine the company’s overall strategic product vision, gathering input from customers directly and applying the learnings to the product roadmap
Lead a team of product support specialists
Train internal teams on general product functionality, benefits, analytics, etc.
Develop standards and templates for product and process documentation
Collaborate with the support, operations, sales and engineering teams to compile feature requirements and feedback about usability for existing and new products
Research market trends and new digital product offerings within the advertising and marketing industries
Provide sales support when necessary related to product offerings including training, developing campaigns, delivering presentations, etc.
Assist in the management of relationships with third-party vendors and partners
B.A./B.S. or equivalent
Have at least 5-7 years experience within a product management role
Extensive knowledge of email marketing from a technology, monetization, best practice and compliance perspective
Proven track record of successful launch and ongoing maintenance of revenue generating products from the idea phase to the product’s release
Strong knowledge of product and project management concepts and best practices
Exceptionally strong documentation skills and ability to train internal and external teams
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment
Possess a ‘roll up your sleeves and dig in’ attitude
Ability to self-manage and self-motivate and work in a growing, fast-paced environment
